I had a wonderful experience during my stay, as the hotel was just a few steps from Markinch and Thornton Parish Church, and only a short walk to Riverside Park, where I enjoyed beautiful views on my strolls.

The hotel is an ideal spot for families, just a minute's walk from the Markinch Mainline Station, making it easy for us to explore nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and we particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a variety of choices for everyone.
In my wife’s opinion, the noise from the nearby road was disruptive for the kids to sleep well at night.

pleasant stay but needs improvements
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food in the restaurant was decent, and I would definitely consider dining here again.
The decor felt less appealing than during my last visit under different management.

Solo traveler recommend it for nice stay
The staff were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a restful two nights, which was crucial after the long drive.
Sure, it wasn't bargain-bin prices but honestly it feels acceptable for the quality provided.

missingWrote a review on Apr 23freestanding bathslocal charmunique decorinadequate storage
The rooms feature unique freestanding baths that add a distinctive touch. The decor attempts to exude local charm, although it lacks consistency throughout the hotel.
On arrival, discovered the restaurant closed, which was misleading given the advertised dining options. The TV only offered internet-based services, not standard channels, making it frustrating for those unfamiliar with the tech. The bathrooms lacked practical storage, with no shelves or hooks available. Low water pressure in the shower made for an unsatisfactory experience, and some shower designs required odd maneuvers making them less user-friendly.

Fantastic stay, lovely staff.
I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel for two nights. The staff's attentiveness truly stood out. they arranged a taxi for us and provided an extra iron when we needed it. Our room was beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and was exceptionally clean. I did find the shower design in the bathroom a bit inconvenient.
